"Diamond Jubilee" was the name of a racehorse, owned and bred by Prince Edward, which had a successful career in the years after 1897--the year celebrating the 60th anniversary of Victoria's reign (known as the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria). On May 30, 1900, "Diamond Jubilee" won the Derby at Epsom Downs in Surrey, England.
